#india #cricket Team Champs

Being an avid Cricket fan from the era when Azharuddin was the captain, the passionate fan in me always waited for the cup. In 2011 it did happen, but this World Cup campaign was special!

Yes it did hurt.
But, the victory against Aussies where Dhawan played with a broken thumb and blasted the Aussies, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, that hattrick from Shami after what he has gone through mentally for so long, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, those prolific 5 centuries from the hitman after not being able to make a place in 2011 World Cup and coming out of a poor IPL, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, those toe crushing yorkers from Bumrah when India needed the most, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, those breathtaking catches, those unimaginable run outs, that fighting half century from Jadeja after 5 years, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, those 21 year and 25 year old shoulders of Pant and Pandya carrying the hope of 1.3 billion people with an intent that was incomparable, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt.
But, that run out from Martin Guptill, broke 1.3 billion hearts in a second. oh man everyone on this planet knew what would have happened if that run out wouldn’t have happened. That’s the aura of this man! That walk back to the pavilion has been the longest and most hurtful. Take a bow.

Yes it did hurt.
But, those 5 consecutive half centuries, those animated gestures on the field, those cheers in everyone’s heart when you walked out, the way you took the team forward so professionally, the hope that India will win be it any situation when you’re on the crease, wasn’t it the best?

Yes it did hurt. But thank you for everything champs! You’ve been amazing and those 45 min of bad cricket does not change the fact that you are the champions! This heartbreak hurt the most, but isn’t India the best?
